ANOTHER GREAT YEAR OF SUPPORTING JERRY'S KIDS

If you don't see yourself in any of the pictures below, then you missed out on a great day supporting Muscular Dystrophy.  The many people who found it in their heart to support MDA, attended this annual event.  Everyone's effort contributed in raising over $40,000 toward the fight againist Neuromuscular diease.

A group of 120 golfers joined at Quit Qui Oc Golf Club in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin to continue the fight for a cure to this debilitation diease.  Event organizer Scott Stangel said, "Year after year many of the same people attend this great event.  They realize it's as great opportunity to take some time away from their busy schedules, to come together and support this great cause.  They really appreciate the event and the exciting day it offers."

For 21 years Quality State Oil has sponsored the golf challenge, and every year it grows.  This year the group rallied behind the lead of long time supporter Ken Gabriesle.  Ken challenged the group to exceed the 2009 number of 14 kids sponsored to MDA summer camp.  Ken purchased the first "scholarship" to camp, and then challenged the everyone else to reach 15, exceeding the previous year's total.  At that point he agreed to sponor the 16th child to camp, and purchased the $800 camp "scholarship.  In all $12,800 was raised alone in Gifts of Hope, MDA camp scholarships.

Quality State Oil a record year in raising money for MDA.  Through its two main events this year over $60,000 was raised.  Each Spring Quality State Oil's Q Mart Stores promote "Shamrocks's Againist Dystrophy" program.  In 2010 $23,000 was raised.

Plans are underway for 2011, which according to coordinator Stangel "will be even a bigger year".
